The Site and Seniors Health Manager has a key leadership role in the North Zone and reports directly to the Director, Area three Clinical Operations, Acute, Allied, and Seniors Health. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, leadership and organization over the activities of the organizational team in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of Health Services within the Clinical Operations Portfolio in the North Zone, in support of vision, mission, values and business plan of Alberta Health Services. These activities also will include the integration of various resources to carry out these activities. The position is also responsible and accountable for making key decisions and having direct leadership responsibility for establishing and contributing to the achievement of the goals of the Portfolio within the North Zone.The Site and Seniors Health Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide leadership within the Portfolio.Education and Background:A min of a bachelor degree in healthcare profession, healthcare management or related position or equivalencies of education and background may be consideredA min of 5 yrs in a management role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (healthcare background an asset)A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal developmentKnowledge, Skills, Abilities and CompetenciesGreat communication with strong management expertise, influential skills, client focused orientation, and commitment to providing quality servicesLeadership skills, including demonstrated expertise and comfort with decision making responsibilities, coaching and teaching, and the expertise to inspire and build confidence in othersDemonstrated expertise to manage change and create innovative solutions for complex and diverse issuesStrong work experience in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholdersExpertise to foster a climate of cooperation amongst, and build solid relationships with public agencies, government, committees and other partnersExpertise to plan, organize and manage short and longterm plans and projects and deliver customer-focused resultsAdditional Info: Vehicle Required - Required to provide a vehicle for business use; along with acceptable driver's abstract and proof of business insuranceDriver's License RequiredTravel RequiredApply on-line at www.healthjobs.ab.ca or via Fax: (780) 402-8104 All applications must include the competition number and a current resume to be received by Human Resources no later than midnight of the closing date.
